Demaris Brown, Clinical Counseling Intern

Demaris is a Clinical Counseling Intern at Bay Area Christian Counseling. She has completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Maryland Global Campus and is in the final phases of completing a Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University with a projected completion date of December 2024.

She believes struggles are an opportunity for growth if we understand how to think about them. Theoretically she is aligned most closely with a Cognitive Behavioral Approach to counseling and the idea that thoughts create behaviors. Since becoming a part of the Bay Area Christian Counseling team one thing has become clear, we all want to be our best and sometimes we need a little help getting there. She is pleased to assist clients in making the changes they desire to better their lives. She enjoys working with a diverse population of client needs and the development of specific treatment plans in collaboration with the individual(s) . She looks forward to the opportunity to help you grow your best self!
